This cajon is the cousin to the S-Series Snare Cajon. I designed it as a Flamenco Cajon. It has a 1" solid Poplar shell with dual 1/8" thick Baltic Birch playing surfaces. The playing surfaces are attached with screws, giving it very pronounced slap tones and a very deep and punchy bass tone.

What sets this cajon apart from the other S-Series Cajons is that it has twice as many snare. It actually has 8 nonadjustable snares. This cajon is super saturated with snare, making it a great Flamenco Cajon. The snares are very responsive in both the slap and bass tones.

The DoubleShot also has a 1" thick upholstered seat and steel reinforced rubber feet. Finally, the drum has a clear satin finish.

    SWEET CAJON GOODNESS

Posted by EDDIE REEVES on 14th Apr 2015

MY FIRST KOPF CAJON WAS THE CUBAN SEGUNDO CAJON THAT I GOT TO PLAY AT DRUM CIRCLES. WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A REGULAR CAJON, KOPF WAS MY FIRST CHOICE BECAUSE I ALREADY KNEW WHAT SORT OF QUALITY THEIR INSTRUMENTS WERE. THE DOUBLESHOT IS, IN MY OPINION, THE PERFECT BLEND OF SNARE AND BASS. THERE IS PLENTY OF SNARE SOUNDS WHEN YOU WANT IT AND THE BASS HAS JUST A HINT OF SNARE IN IT. THE WOOD IS STUNNING TO LOOK AT AND THE LITTLE EXTRA THINGS LIKE THE ROUND CORNERS AND THE SEAT ARE GREAT FINISHING TOUCHES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAJON TO ANYONE THAT WANTS A GREAT CAJON.

I purchased this cajon after reading an article about it in DRUM! Magazine. This cajon has the best bottom end of any cajon I have found. It also has a nice crisp snare sound. I recommend this drum to anyone.

    Very Satisfied Customer!

I purchased this cajon direct from Kopf Percussion after reading an article in an old issue of DRUM! magazine. This cajon produces very crisp snare sounds and has a fantastic bass tone. Just like the article said, this drum is worth much more than #300

    Kopf Double Shot Snare Cajon

Posted by Keith B on 4th Aug 2014

After playing several of the other big name cajons and not being happy with the tone, I ordered the Kopf Double Shot Snare Cajon based on a demo I heard. Once it arrived I was very pleased to find that it did indeed live up to the demo I heard. As others have said, the snare sound is just the best and the bass is nice and punchy as well. To me the separation between snare and bass is perfect. The seat is very comfy and overall build quality is top notch. I called Kopf just to ask a question and actually got to talk to the owner himself, Steve Head, try getting that kind of customer service from the big companies. This is just an amazing cajon all around. Kudos Steve!!

    Great snare sound!

I wanted a cajon that had lots of snare and I didn't really care if there was a separation between the bass and the snare. The snares on this cajon are amazingly responsive. The bass is really deep and punchy. I love the seat and the craftsmanship is awesome. I can't find any faults really. It is a really great professional drum.
